Happy New Year!
So here I am, attempting once again to get my blog going.
I absolutely love reading blog posts, seeing a snippet of other people’s lives in different parts of the UK and beyond. Everyone with their own style of writing, and everyone at different stages of life.
The truth is, I crave being able to write away about my life too, saying what’s on my mind. I’ve always loved writing, or journaling to be more precise. It feels relaxing and calms my mind. I honestly believe that blogging frequently would keep me focused and in control. A blog sounds like a perfect place to write and ramble, without boring everyone on my social media accounts.
However, the one thing that has been putting me off writing blog posts is the fact that nice photos are required. Although I have since many years owned a camera, and I am absolutely (sometimes overly) snap-happy on my phone every day, the fact that blog photos always look so perfect and high quality always puts me off. The fact that I need a lot of time to get the perfect shot(s), edit, and upload (with my not so fast in-the-middle-of-the-countryside internet speed) really puts me off.
I haven’t got time at the moment to do all that, especially as I need to actually learn how as well (patience is definitely not one of my fortes).
But I have decided, for now, to go for it, and just type away. I’m going to focus on just writing what I want for now, and hope (most definitely) that with time, my photography side will progress. I will with time add some (probably far from
perfect) photos, then go from there.
So yes, a very happy new year to you! How’s your January going?
